With the first day of summer around the corner and the gallery now open daily, I’m coming to the end of my themed emails and beginning a whole new chapter. This week will feature those painters who defy description and who focus on the abstract. Here are two memorable quotes that I’ve read that sum up my feelings:
“Understanding abstract art is easy: all it requires is an open mind and a big imagination.”
“Art can or should be like music — just as music is patterns of sound, art’s effects can be created by pure patterns of form, color and line.”
I hope you agree that the artists featured here fit these descriptions perfectly.
