Scratching the Surface – an Arts Commentary by Ellen Lebow

We invite you to follow our new online arts commentary Scratching the Surface by Ellen LeBow.

A local artist represented by the Rice Polak Gallery, Ellen LeBow is also the former arts columnist for the Cape Codder and The Cape Cod Voice.

In the commentary she will take a deeper look into the work of our artists, sometimes individually, sometimes linked by the current exhibitions they share. She will also cover a variety of other topics including anything from the relationship between gallery owner, artwork and artists, to the roots of drawing, to the perils of artistic self-censorship.

We hope to engage, surprise and amuse you on a regular basis and we welcome your response to the shows and the commentary.
